Goose calls

I have been running a cheap poly call for a bit and want to finally make that plunge to a nice acrylic or wood. Just curious what people are running? I hunt mostly over water so it really travels and would like something that can get really deep. Thanks for the advice and opinions.

Molt gear ex3 goosiest sounding call i have ever heard…deff not a stage call
Tim grounds has some nice ones as well
Field proven raptor although more of a stage call to me isn’t a bad call either…see if you can go to scheels or somewhere and try one before you buy…alot will come down to what is easier for you to blow

If you call Scott at molt gear and tell him what your using he s pretty good at making a call a little easier to crack over or harder to crack over whichever your prefer

I have been leaning towards molt gear. I would like to keep my money in the state. I had been thinking the rush. Just feel like local call makers are more in tune with our birds if that makes sense.

Don’t get too hooked on “deep” sounds for canadas, even the 10 pound resident birds react often and react well to higher pitched tones. If your hunting primarily over water, maybe go with a full range wood call from any of the below MN call makers.

By no means and I trying to offend, but no, it doesn’t make sense. They’re migratory and most travel hundreds of miles each year. From flyway to flyway? Maybe, but not enough to ever notice a difference.

Molt makes a good call, specially the EX3. If you aren’t a veteran goose caller, the rush will not be an easy call to master. The Field Proven Adrenaline is an awesome call, but not local.

Back when I used to call a lot, I liked the Tim Grounds calls. I still have a Super Mag, Triple Crown, and a Real Thang. The Real Thang was always my favorite.

I have not stayed up to date on all the new calls, but Scott Threinen’s CD’s and DVD’s are what I used to learn. I’m sure his Molt Gear calls are really good.
