Goodhue County PSA (from a year ago) Re: Coyote Sightings

    I thought this was one of the best PSA’s coming out of a Sheriff’s Office.

    Public Notice:
    From time to time our Dispatchers take calls related to coyote sightings within Goodhue County. Typically coyotes are nocturnal, but it is not uncommon to see them during the day.

    Merely seeing one is NOT reason to call 911. However, there are certain behaviors that are cause for alarm.

    Specifically:
    Coyotes carrying any products marked “ACME”
    Coyotes dropping anvils from hot air balloons
    Coyotes posting signs such as “detour” or “free bird seed”
    Coyotes in possession of a giant magnet
    Coyotes in possession of a catapult
    Coyotes setting up or detonating “TNT”
    Coyotes on roller skates with rockets attached
    Coyotes painting a car tunnel on Barn Bluff

    Please call 911 if you see any of the above behavior.

    Remember, if you see something, say something.

    We hear about bear sighting more and more around the area but haven’t seen any yet. When we go for walks with the kids I tell them to listen close for a noise in the underbrush that sounds like “Only you can prevent forest fires.”

    When on the lookout for bears I am most concerned with protecting my pic-a-nic basket.

    Anyone seeing a roadrunner in Minnesota should report it immediately to the nearest BAR, then the DNR.

    I seen a absolutely beautiful roadrunner just a few days ago, I’d say it was a 70, came in yellow and black. Sat right next to me at the stop light. I could feel the cam rumble from my seat.
    I’m now headed to the bar and will contact dnr. I’ll get back to you with what they say

    Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam had their guns taken away per news back in June so Elmer will need to find another way to get after coyotes doah

    There was a thread about fishing in Yellowstone on IDO a few weeks ago.
    Did anyone see Yogi and Boo Boo or lose a pick nik basket out in Yellowstone lately? whistling
