yeah, a shorter cable should have been a feature of the IF version, maybe the next Livescope transducer will have that..

Thanks- I didn’t even know there was an IF version. A 10′ cable would make it nicer but a guy can always trim them down if they wish.

yeah, if you know what you’re doing… that also opens you up to potential water intrusion/interference issues… I wouldn’t recommend it…it’s really not much of a weight savings benefit (most important benefit) having a shorter cable and I keep the last 10′ of my cable wound up very tight around my shuttle handle and then velcro tied up, so its not that big of a deal…

all that being said, if the next iteration of the LVS transducer has a shorter cable version, I will get it…
