Very interesting thanks for sharing. To be honest this never even crossed my mind when using it but makes so much sense when you watch it. They talked about knowing the object is in the center of the cone when it is the brightest return and it got me thinking about the color pallet that I have setup. I have always used the blue color that has red/green/yellow for the object. If I went with a color pallet that is more one color and black background this might be easier to pick up.

I have found that using downriggers on LOTW in 30-34′ of water I need to have 30′ of line behind the balls then I can see both crankbaits at the same time. I am not sure that jives with their calculations or not. One other thing that is strange is that the rubber coated balls down do not show up as bright as the release shows up. I see the balls just fine on my PS33 panoptix ducer but livescope doesn’t pickup the rubber very good.
