Hello all I am going up to the Crosslake Breezy point area this fall and i was hoping to be able to get some insider info on good musky lakes in the the area. I am looking more for numbers than size but as always size would be a added bonus. On lakefinder I noticed that Gull lake has muskys so that’s an option are there any other lakes that would be worth trying out? Thank you in advance to everyone who can help point me in the right directions

Might need to go north of there. Longville area. Wabedo, little boy, ingudano, Women.

I’m not sure if they actually stocked Gull.
There may have been a last minute reprieve.

Gull has had muskies stocked within the last couple years. They’re not going to be sizable enough to target at this point.

From Crosslake, you’re going to want to run north to the Hackensack/Longville area. There’s a pile of reputable musky lakes up there. I have not fished them.

Better yet, keep running north to Leech lake or the Cass Lake chain, which is premium, world-class water. I have fished those, and I greatly look forward to returning ASAP.

Yeah I think EPG has the closest recommendations for you, otherwise you can drive a little further north to Leech or south to Shamineau/Alexander.

They started stocking Gull in 2016, so no real fishable populations/size yet.

You’ll have to travel to the Longville area like eelpoutguy says (Baby Lake has muskies too), or up to Leech. South of there is Alexander and Shamineau near Motley, Cedar Lake near Aitkin, or Mille Lacs.
