    I’ll be among the orange army hitting the woods this weekend!! My 16 yo daughter will be with me hoping for her first deer.

    I need all the luck I can get because I’ll be hunting public land and I’m kind of a newb not having hunted deer for nearly 30 years until last year. Fortunately, the temperature looks like it’ll be back to near normal by the end of the weekend and through much of next week.

    Good luck to you guys and your daughter, I cant wait to get my daughter out there with me. Be safe and stay warm! At least we will have snow on the ground for opening day.

    Good luck to you and your daughter!! It’s also SD east river opener so I’m rooting for my old man. He’s pretty fired up talking to him this week. Most excitement I’ve heard about deer hunting in years actually.

    Stayed warm but didn’t have to worry about shooting straight. Saw a few but never had a decent shot. Back at it in the morning.

    Weather has been terrible after opening day. Not even huntable today. Stuck up here with nothing to do. Tomorrow supposed to be decent.

    Took care of priority number one by 8:00am Saturday morning which was to fill the freezer for the next year, but didn’t see any nice bucks besides the two and a half year old that likes to visit me and remind me that he’s off limits for another year or two. Good action all around though with most of our group having pretty steady action all day Saturday.

    I didn’t hunt yesterday due to the rain and having to butcher deer, but sounds like it was much slower and came to a hault once rain moved in. Hoping to get back out after Turkey Day and try to get a crack at MR. BIG. Good luck and stay safe for the rest of the season everybody!
