My 30yr old 10X camo rain gear is getting worn out and need to upgrade. Needs to be light for layering and durable for hunting and fishing. Not a lot of choices out there for camo. Prices and reviews vary a lot. Was leaning towards Cabelas mt050. Sitka I’m not sure if I’m all in on it. Thoughts? TIA

I’m with you. Without paying crazy-crazy prices, there seems to be a real lack of choice in camo. I have also looked at the MT stuff from Cabelas as I believe there is a real Gore-tex version available.

It seems like there is either ultralight stuff which I don’t trust for regular use or there’s super high-end stuff $500 and up.

Let us know what you end up getting.

A buddy has kuiu yukon. He loves it. I have seen it in person and it looks awfully nice.

Buy whatever rain gear you want, then put on a leaf cut camo (Guille) clothing over top.

I wear black raingear with this over.
I’ll wear orange with this over.
I’ll wear a plain white t-shirt with this over.
…It is a cover camo. Cover whatever your wearing.

If you want camo, the leaf cut guillie suits are lightweight and when wet don’t weight much more. Just put your rain gear under. Also effective at silencing whatever you have under.
    2c.

    I wear a grundens coat.
    and some PVC bibs.

    x2 on a leafy suit.

Doesn’t matter what you are wearing, just throw the leafy suit over top and instant 3D camo.

I bought an ASAT leafy suit a few years ago and love it. The open camo patterns are true camo from the deer perspective. Deer look right through you.
