I use all prepared seasoning mixes in my summer sausage so I can’t say how much sugar they contain. My favorite thus far Is the H Summer sausage seasoning blend from http://www.Waltons.com You can contact staff from their website and they can address sugar content with you. I’m sure the folks at http://www.LEMproducts.com would have answers regarding their seasoning products as well. Good luck on the diet!!

Sugars in the cure are fine on Keto. Think Bacon. It is just the added sugars that need to be avoided. Maple flavoring, etc. That is what has been said on the FB Keto groups.

Good luck with you weight loss. I dropped 80# in about a year, but kind of found some carbs again since October – Holidays. Put about 15 back on. Jumping back on the program now. I am not strict Keto, still like my beer, but tend to drink it less often and bourbon more often.

Like Opie said, the added sugars are what you need to avoid. When I did the diet last year, I lived on venison, chicken & fish. For fillers I would have almonds, sunflower seeds, peanuts & avocados. Usually had one day a week that I ate anything I wanted, within reason of course. The biggest things to kick out of the normal diet is alcohol, bread, pasta & sugar.

Haven’t posted links on here in so long that I am hoping that you can get to this page on Facebook… we are a group of diet people bent on changing your eating habits, not focusing on Keto or other fad diets… lots of good stuff being republished regarding the basic premise of the habit change, getting rid of sugar, processed foods, fasting parts of the day, lowering carbs and other things that can take you back to the good life that for years we’ve been brainwashed into believing certain foods were bad when in fact they are just fine… If I can get the link to work, check it out!!!

The link does work, enjoy, let me know if it helps, if you have questions… Some of us are big fishing people who were over weight and done some serious losing!!!

The salt is good because you deplete your sodium levels in ketosis – especially in the first few weeks.
