Irrelevant in the NFlL
Go pack Go in third place in the north.
Should be a fun week.
Game is not end all be all for either team.
Ok, so they barely won tonight… what’s all the hype about?
Seriously, should be a great square up between them and the vikes next weekend. Looking forward to it.
P.s. the only thing that could make this any juicier is if tlazer and walleyes4me showed up. But idk if my heart is ready for that. OOFDAH.
Merry Christmas, hallelujah, holy shidt… where’s the Tylenol?
What do the Packers have to play for anymore. They are essentially locked into the 6 seed in the NFC. Washington has a minimal chance of catching them and they cannot catch the Vikings.
I could see them resting players in week 18 against Chicago. At this point their first round opponent seems very likely to be the Rams.
Opening line has the Vikings favored by 2 points on Sunday.
I’m surprised they played the starters as much as they did. The saints were terrible.

Even though it was a complete blow out and first shutout in the 240 games played this season, I do think that Love looked sub-par last night.
His rating wasn’t all that bad, but he missed some throws that normally he would make. A few of them were truly terrible, hoping he was just having an off night.
Solid win against a depleted squad. To hold any NFL team scoreless is impressive given today’s BS offensive favoring rules as well. They were able to do it without Jaire, Bullard, or Quay Walker on D as well.
I think the Cheese vs Queens showdown should be a tight one. I’ll favor the Vikings slightly with the home field + more to play for with seeding implications.
Vikings 27
Packers 23

???
I read if the Packers win their next two games (Vikes-Bears), and the Vikings lose to the Lions, the Packers would take the 5th seed/2nd place ahead of the Vikings.
Seems like a very possible scenario. Not entirely likely, but possible?
Correct B Man, a lot to be decided yet these last couple weeks in the NFC. Should be fun!

If the Packers win their final 2 games, and the Vikings lose their final two games, each team would be 13-4.
Second tie breaker is divisional record. Each team would finish 3-3 in the division.
The third tie breaker is W-L in common games. I’d have to dig deeper into that one. It’s possible, so you may be right.
Fourth tie breaker is conference record. I assume that would also be tied too since neither team has lost to an AFC opponent.
It’s also still possible that Washington could catch the Packers and drop them into the 7 seed. That would place Green Bay in Philly for the wild card round.
Here is a screen shot from espn regarding seeding percentage possibility in NFC. Not sure all the scenarios but from this pack can still get 5 seed.
i’m of the opinion get in the dance anything can happen…….to be the best ya gotta beat the best.
yea a 1rst round bye would be great, but you still gotta win games!!!!
Good info Weedis. So essentially the Eagles appear to be the only team nearly locked into a spot, which is the 2 seed. I have a feeling they will be resting Jalen Hurts who suffered a concussion.
Packers win Sunday by 2 touchdowns
Over under on how many penalties and/or verbal altercations with a fan Matty LaFlower gets on Sunday?

Considering your 0-64 on Packers Vikings predictions this year I’ll go under.

you need to to get a new needle for your worn out record.it keeps skipping .

My confidence level in a Vike’s victory just skyrocketed.
Last year J Love played his best football down the stretch into the playoffs. Because the run game has been so dominant the last couple of games, his uneven play hasn’t mattered much. I thought he really balled out in the loss to the Lions in Detroit. I’m really looking forward to the match-up this week of the Vikes D vs. the Pack running game and J. Love, who brings his best to big games.
with speeding implications.
Jordan Addison wants to know your location. And he’ll get there fast.
Pretty good article/discussion between Seifert (Vikings) and Demovsky (Packers)
“They haven’t beaten any of the NFC’s top teams this season. They’re a combined 0-4 against the Philadelphia Eagles (12-3), Lions and Vikings. Their best NFC win came over the Los Angeles Rams, but that was in Week 5 when the Rams were depleted by injuries.” – Demovsky

I think the Packers are good, but not sure how good due to getting most of their opponents at the right time (injured) and loses to the best teams on their schedule thus far. Add in the home field advantage and I think the Vikes pull away late to win by 10.
They’re a combined 0-5 against the Philadelphia Eagles (12-3), Lions and Vikings.
They only have 4 losses though.

That was a copy and paste from the article, you can’t expect a Packers writer/fan to both count and type well. One or the other. I edited it for clarity among the Packers faithful here.
Bad play calling by the Packers this half in my opinion.
Going for the home run on 3rd and 5 before the half not smart. Gave Vikes the ball back with 83 seconds left before half.
we need 2 good corners so this defense can play the why they were designed to play.
