Meanwhile, the Vikings have been in ONE NFC Championship game in almost the last 50 YEARS…

    They lost of course.

It’s actually amazing they are still a team, and somehow they’ve kept a lot of fans since their inception toast

If you’re a Purple fan in the Packer thread, I don’t mean to hurt your feelers. It’s just time for an intervention, join the dark side and you’ll be a lot happier human being

I’ll bet anyone here a $100 that the Packers will win another Superbowl before the Vikings ever win their FIRST one mrgreen

It’s SeaChicken Week for the Green and Gold. One of the podcasts I listen to uses the SeaChickens as the demarcation line for good teams. Beating them means the squad is pretty good, and if your squad can’t beat the Chickens, they are frauds. The Giants did beat Seattle, but that was after they got beat up by the Lions. I think this game is a good test of where the Pack are at right now.

The Vikings have played in 4 NFC championships in my lifetime.

    I can recall 1998, 2000, 2010, and 2018.

Yes they did lose all four.

So what you’re saying is the Vikings are a 4 time loser instead of being a 1 time loser? That sounds soooooo much better, LOL. smash yay jester

Simply correcting the post above indicating one appearance in an NFC championship in the last 50 years. Which is not accurate.

Your statement is in fact accurate.

Looks like the Pack will dispatch the Seahawks without much trouble.

The Rams over took Seattle by virtue of tie breaker for the NFC West now too. The Sea Chickens dropped out of the playoff picture completely.

I think the Rams are a better team anyways. They’ll win the division and earn the 3 seed, hosting what is likely the Packers as the 6 seed in the wild card round.

Nice win for the Pack last night, I was expecting a much stiffer test from the Seachickens. The Seachickens OL was an embarrassement, I forgot the stat they showed in the game, but the Pack were getting home in under 3 seconds rushing 4 most of the time. And Jacobs was a stud again too (minus the fumble).

That was a good team win yesterday with the D playing solid ball and the offense really spreading it around. Jacobs has really been a difference maker. That first quarter was a masterclass at running the ball. The fumble was a bummer, but he hasn’t put one on the ground since playing the colts so it’s certainly not a chronic issue. It’s as close to a lock as it can be that three teams from the North will be in the dance. With the one seed still in play, the Vikes will have a lot to play for down the stretch. The hail Mary against Washington was the turn of the tide for Chicago. Haven’t gotten a W since. Losing Geno was a bad deal for the Hawks yesterday as that race is as tight as it gets to get the division title and a chance to host. Buckle up!

Bears are going down the toilet. I would love to see the other NFC North teams all in the playoffs. Best we can hope for in Chicago is mgmt & coaches are all fired and McCaskeys agree to sell the team.

going to be a dog fight down the stretch in the NFC north. I hope it comes down to the Vikings final game against Lions, but Green bay is still in the hunt as well.

It is interesting that GB does have lower odd of winning the super bowl than the Vikings. GB currently at 13-1 and Minnesota 14-1. Now’s your chance packer fans. A 100 bet will get you 1400.

I was mad about the whole Jones situation with them asking him to take a pay cut one year and then releasing him the next but Jacobs has been a stud. I hope I’m not jinxing him but he’s been reliable which is something Jones has been.

Which is a bad deal for the pack. They got the road win by 5 earlier this season but rams were without both kupp and nacua at the time. I would expect this to be a really tough one in the wildcard round. That said the Seahawks and the rams still play head to head. Haven’t seen any updates on Gino’s injury but that division is yet to be decided.

I looked earlier and they said he is “questionable” for next Sunday against the Vikings.

I personally think the Rams are better than Seattle, even if Geno is in there. Someone posted earlier that Tampa has the tie breaker over the Rams. So its possible the Packers could play Tampa instead if the Bucs earn the 3 seed. That would send the 5 seed (right now the Vikings) to play LA.

I’d rather play Baker than Stafford but Baker has had some success against GB recently as well! Would rather play Seattle than either of em though.

I just discovered that the Saints/Pack game is on Monday Night. This means the Pack will come into US Bank to play the Vikes on a short week. Interesting.

1 seed, 2 seed, tomato, tabasco.
i’d be fine with GB beating MIN in the Divisional round.

but the sweetness of the NFC Championship to go to the Super Bowl can only happen in the NFC Championship if MIN is the 2 b/c GB will be the 6.

the next couple games don’t mean all that much playoff-wise, but it’s time to get the machine well-oiled and ready to go.

i usually dislike the night games because of my early wake-up for work, but when it’s the night before a holiday and some snow is falling?

I just wish it was against a better team tonight. I’d like to see a good game. But at home, against the Saints with a back-up QB should be a snooze fest.

The Green Bay Packers (10-4) are considered favorites (-14.5) according to the oddsmakers ahead of their game versus the New Orleans Saints (5-9) on December 23, 2024, starting at 8:15 p.m. ET, airing on ESPN. The expected point total for the matchup is set at 43.

That’s a lot of points GB is giving away

True, but they are getting the bags out in New Orleans again.
In Green Bay, nothing for the Saints to play for.
    Night game.
Packers might score 43 on their own.

Just another week of the Packers playing a crippled opponent, seems like that’s been all year for them. And still 3rd in the division, sad really. chased jester
