Todays result only re-confirms who the best team in the NFC is.
Even losing Hutchinson, their best defensive player, isn’t slowing the kitties down. I don’t see them losing more than 3 games this season.

Just like I said when Detroit beat the Vikings. The Better team won this game. If Detroit can stay healthy I believe they have a great chance to be there in the final game of the season.
Bigwerm, my internet isn’t working, would you happen to have the NFC north standings handy??
I have a full day tomorrow, so I thought I’d update you now. Turns out the Bears are pretty average, and the Pack have a LONG way to go after that inter division throttling by the Lions today at the pole barn on the prairie. #packersway
Why would they change their logo from the classic “G” to such a bland, boring “GB”? Is it a throwback or something? Either way it’s ugly.
Christian Watson had a bad game. I saw him cut his route short, coming back to the ball, only to have it sail over his head. He was open too. Can’t recall seeing a professional WR do that before.
I have never seen a team so hell bent on defeating themselves. The never ending penalties that continue to destroy drives is absolutely unreal. The ridiculous pick 6 by Love at the end of the half. Another boneheaded move. You give a quick 17 points between the end of the half and the first drive of the second half. The defense had a solid performance. This loss falls directly on the shoulders of the offense. They need to do their best to refocus coming out of the bye because the road does not get any easier moving forward.

That’s when the game kind of turned out of hand if you ask me.
Love’s stats are a bit concerning thus far for someone that received such a hefty pay increase this offseason. He leads the league in interceptions with 10, and has only played 7 games. His completion percentage is only 61.3% too.
Perhaps some of this is due to lingering injury issues but I dare say “sophomore slump?” CJ Stroud is experiencing the same thing and ironically, their teams have identical records of 6-3.
A loss is a loss, but some stupid mistakes and dropped passes you can’t expect to win against a good team. Might just be me, but ever since Campbell has been coach, I would call the Lions a dirty team not a hard nosed team. On the play where Branch went head hunting (glad he was ejected since I believe he was the player who took out Hockenson’s knee last year) I saw a Lions player who had tackled Love after he threw the pass, and you could see him trying to twist his ankle after the tackle when they were on the ground. That kind of cheap play doesn’t belong in the NFL.
It was kirby joseph that wrecked tj’s knee. He also did it to another TE at the end of the year. He just launches at players knees, although legal it seems cheap to me.
I was going to say the same thing about the lions being cheap/dirty.

It’s common to cry a little after getting beat up. I don’t know any “hard nosed team” that didn’t occasionally cross the line with dirty hits. Personally I hate seeing players ejected for a football play, which is what Branch’s hit was. At least give them a warning or two, but rosters are so thin to begin with that an ejection like that can really impact the outcome of a game if the teams are evenly matched. Same thing in college, they should get at least one warning. It looks easy to us in slow mo replay, but it’s really not that easy to pull up in the last millisecond. Detroit’s secondary does go low a lot, but that is mainly due to the NFL’s dumb rules imo.
Typical useless comment coming from a Queens fan, but I would expect nothing less. Glad to hear you were good with the hit to Hock last year, and sounds like you are OK with it happening again. I’m sure you would also be happy with a defensive player twisting on your QB’s ankle after the tackle when they are on the ground, but I still think that is a dirty play. Guess you were also happy with the Saints team with all the hits on Favre that year.

The NFL has forced DB’s to go low, if they go high or even into the chest and the WR turtles, they get 15 yard penalties (or two of them?!?) and ejected. So they have to go low, and occassionally that costs someone a season ending knee injury. I don’t like it, but that’s on the NFL not the players following the rules.

That is dirty, and also to be expected when the QB comes into a game with 2 leg injuries. Officials miss calls all the time, even on the QB, two weeks in a row Darnold had his head almost ripped off, and then got a right cross to the face. No call on one, and they picked up the flag on the other and then couldn’t explain it after the game. Sucks but it happens. Man your Milwaukee’s Best prolly stays full with all these tears!
Seeing how if any Vikings fans want to see what a SB trophy looks like in person you only have to travel as far as Green Bay. Your last chance to win a SB trophy was with a Green Bay cast off QB who got his backside handed to him with some really late hits. But I guess in your world you are good with all the late hits on Favre after he got hurt because that “was expected” after he got hurt the first time in that game.
Packers fans trolling the Vikings thread every season get completely butt hurt when Vikings fans show up here doing the same thing.
The irony is through the roof and its illustrated in fine detail with the post above ^
Your last chance to win a SB trophy was
In 2018 after the Minneapolis Miracle, one of the most iconic plays of all time. You should remember that was right in the middle of the 4 NFC championship games you guys either got blown out in (by San Fran and Atlanta), or choked away (against the Seahawks and Bucs). I’m sure you will look back at those huge missed opportunities more now moving forward now that your 30 year run of HOF QB’s has come to a close. But at least you stuck to the #PackersWay and didn’t add any help for Rodgers to get over the hump, putting Rodgers and Favre’s 1 SB wins in with the likes of Russell Wilson, Joe Flacco, Matt Stafford, Nick Foles and Trent Dilfer.
All I remember is the Vikings have never won a Super Bowl. LOL
Here is a photo of the Vikings Super Bowl Trophy Case. LOL.
^spoiler alert to the friendly banter…
Neither the Vikings or Packers are winning a SB this year.
I guess it’s time for my annual favorite packers joke. How many Packers fans does it take to change a light bulb? 4. 1 to change it and 3 to reminisce about how great the old light was.
Any idea where your trophy is. That right you have never won one.

You know the real punch line is? At least the Pack had a light bulb, meaning a Super Bowl Trophy, and the Vikings are still in the dark.

The real punch line is half of the Packers 4 Super Bowls you’re so proud of, were actually from when fire was first discovered and the players had the option of a facemask with 1 or 2 bars on it.
