    groin injury for love

Not pretty but I’ll take any and every W especially with an injured QB. Hopefully the groin heals up and he is able to compete next week. Should be a huge test against the Lions.

Lots not to like about this game, starting with the D late in the game against Jacksonville’s b-squad WRs. And even when love was in the game they didn’t capitalize on their opportunities. Gonna have to be a lot better next week.

Trap game was off the second Love started gimping around. If anything it was the Jags that fell into a trap when the Pack finally pulled Love out; The Jags self-destructed and it ended up costing them the game. A win is a win. Congrats Packer Nation!

Good Luck next week vs. the Lions.

After seeing what Detroit did to the Titans today, I can’t help but feel like the Pack will need to attempt to climb Everest next week. Especially if Love stays out. The way Jacksonville went down the field on their TD drives like a hot knife through butter is not what you want to see before facing off against the best offense in the league that will want to embarrass GB on their home turf. Very impressed with Willis and his poise. That last throw to Reed was a thing of beauty to get down the field and setup the game winner. Any given Sunday…

I’ll be shocked if they push Love to play, given the groin injury + knee injury all through 8 weeks of the season. I don’t give the Pack a snowball’s chance in he** of beating the Lions either way right now, but Superbowls aren’t won in October anyways. Hope for health and some continuity down the stretch and see what happens.

They could’ve just folded once they realized Love was out and the Jags started to get traction on offense, but it was a gritty effort to get yet another win behind Malik Willis. He’s no star, but the guy plays hard and Lafleur seems to be able to pivot his play calling to accommodate his short comings.

Packers and Bears have not beaten any good teams yet, so despite dominant wins yesterday I think they both still have to prove how good they really are.

whistling whistling . Packers snuck another one out against the hapless Jags, and the Bears got dominated everywhere but the scoreboard at Washington. Now the Packers QB1, CB1, and RB1 are banged up and they get to play the most physical team in the league. Good luck!

The Commanders are a pretty good team and that Bears DB #29 should be on the waiver wire after that hail mary play!

Every team in the NFC outside of the lions has a lot to prove. Got any other takes that are so hot they call for the old self quote? jester

Another big win for the Pack. They don’t play pretty but they win. A win is a win. This is going to be a tough division all season. Lots of division games to still be played.

The reason the Vikings fans troll on the Go Pack thread is they know they are in a repeat of 2016 when they started 5-0 only to end up 8-8 and miss the playoffs. yay

Actaully, no its just return fire for the same packer fans trolling the vikings thread for years now. Its literally about the same 3 people every season. They know who they are too and can’t help themselves.

    Its a 2 way street

Isnt a little friendly bashing kind of the point of these things. Makes it more interesting then a bunch of Vikings or Packers fans circle jerking each about how great they think their team is.

Looks like Love dodged the bullet with a minor groin pull. I’m in favor of him sitting this week, getting to the bye and letting everything heal up best as possible before taking on the Bears at Soldier. Heck, with the QB1, RB1 and CB1 all nicked up after yesterday the bye can’t get here soon enough. The young guys, which are over half of the roster, are going to get their chance to go up against the big dogs on the block. It will be fun to see what they’re made of.

    ^Agreed.

You can’t win the Super Bowl in October or November, but you can lose it (with injuries).

It would be wise to sit him. No sense in rushing him back when the backup seemed to play relatively decently even though it was against a team they should beat, but the did anyway so that is good.

I’ll update you on Monday bud! whistling jester

As much as I like to give Packers fans crap, I also have to say what Coach Lafleur has done this year has been truly impressive. While I still think the front office was caught with their pants down on the backup QB situation, MLF has had Malik Willis playing at a very serviceable level. Which no one expected at this point in his career, and turned a front office failure into a strength. I am still skeptical long term of Willis leading a playoff team, but he’s proven he is a competent backup that can keep the season on the tracks, which is really all you can ask for out of a backup. And given the two lower body injuries to Love that he seems intent on playing thru, I expect we see a lot more of Willis this season.

Why the packers would play a beat up Love against the Lions I have no idea. If they do that I think they are making a big Mistake. Is it a really important game for them in the division – Absolutely ! Is it worth risking Love for a long period of time – NO ! This is a game that unless the pack play out of their minds or Detroit have a real off game the packers are not likely to win anyway. If I was the owner or coach I would not take the risk.

Especially with a bye week looming and the Bears after that. Doesn’t seem worth the risk to me either. That’s up to him, the coach, and the medical staff though.

The Packers are normally very conservative on playing hurt players. I would hope that Love doesn’t play against the Lions. Give him the extra weeks to get further along in healing both injuries.

Gonna be a wet one at Lambeau today. Nothing but rain. Run game might be key for each team.

Jordan Love is active, expected to play.

Well Love is out again probably shouldn’t have started him in the first place considering the conditions.

If I was KC I’d be worried about playing Detroit in the SB this year.
