The thing is with GB no one expects them to do anything and they are so young so they will probably go in there and blow them away.

    Good try.

I’m WI sports fan at all levels through and through, but the Packers would have to generate multiple turnovers while having none themselves, and maybe even a big defensive or ST score to pull it off.

The Cowboys are a talented team that didn’t have their act together. The 49ers rolled Dallas when they did have their act together, and it didn’t matter.

It’s possible they win. A blowout seems less likely.

The other thing is not to underestimate the power of the “nobody believed in us” mindset. Pro athletes are fragile beings. The pro bowl is a joke to us fans, but to the players it’s the judgement of their peers. Having zero pro bowlers is only feeding into their underdog mindset and these kids are hungry to prove the “haters” wrong. Whether that’s enough to push them past a more talented, more experienced team on the road, remains to be seen.

I know it’s a pipe dream, but after yesterday it seems like anything is possible.

Could you imagine an NFC Championship game between the Packers and Lions in Detroit??? Man that would be AWESOME toast

    I’m LOVInG it!

The outcome of the game against the 9er’s could come down to how the defense plays, or should I say which defense shows up. The Panthers scored 30 points on the Pack, and scored 0 points in the following 2 games of the season.

My only question is how can the Packers keep hitting on mid round WRs for the past 30 years…

Growing up as rather young pup in the 70s I can tell you that Viking’s fans hated the Dallas Cowboys far more than the Packers. CBS … with Musburger and Phyllis George … Americas Team roll … Yuk.

I have never disliked the Packer organization, just can stand the fans much. jester I am pretty happy to see the Cowboys fall and fall hard.

Love is playing like a top level QB. The Packers stats are impressive the last 6+ games or so. If Love plays out vs. flash-bang. That would be 3 QBs in a row. Vikings could only dream of such a feat.

The opening line for next week’s divisional game in Santa Clara is favoring the 49ers by 10 points.

Seems a bit high considering what the Packers just did in Dallas, who was previously unbeaten at home.

Not surprised at that line nor surprised the pack beat the boys. Packers have yet to loose in Jerry’s world, 7-0 all time now. Pack have lost the last 4 playoff games against the niners. All about matchups.

Cowboys are the Cowboys. I was at the dome when the Vikings crushed the Cowboys in 2009

Jerry Jones sold his soul to get the Hershall Walker trade. The Devil can be the only thing that tricked Mike Lynn in 1989. Or was Lynn just that stupid and desperate ?

The deal with the Devil only gave Jones SB wins in the 90s (3 in 4 years) but nothing beyond that.

Maybe it is actually now a curse. One can hope.

Back to the pack … they have not fared well in getting all the way through the NFC play-offs for some time. Love will not have the monkey on his back that Roger’s did with the 49ers.

The lowly Purple beat the Niners earlier this season, so how hard could it be jester (a big J/K)

The Packers will have their hands full next weekend. Just hoping for a competitive game no matter who walks away with the win.

Seen a neat statistic yesterday, as we’re talking stats. Packers have more playoff wins at AT&T Stadium than the Cowboys. That’s a cool stat!

I hope anything to do with AT&T on it looses or goes bankrupt! Dealing with their phone company and Direct TV(AT&T owned) CS and billing was a nightmare. They expected to get paid for 2 months service after canceling/returning all equipment after my sister passed away. Talking to CS/billing is like talking to a rock. flame

with the exception of a Super Bowl win, i dare you to describe a more satisfying 3-week stretch than this:
wk 16: beat the Vikings in Minnesota 33-10
wk 17: beat the Bears at home 17-9
playoff: beat the Cowboys in Dallas 48-32

and as fun as this late-season run has been (including wins over Detroit and KC) i still think this team is positioned to actually be “ready” in 2025.

The future looks bright indeed….however, I am staying positive we can add a victory against the 49ers to that run you mentioned above. People said I was crazy when I said they would beat the Cowboys and all the talking heads picked the Boys. same this week, keep us as an underdog and I like our chances.

This thread is a perfect example of why the NFL is the best league in the world! Go back to pages 3-6 and we were talking tear it down and rebuild, Pack go on a heater after that and here they are 2 games from the SB.

I think the 9ers should win easily this weekend, but I have also been saying this year, especially in the NFC, is WIDE open and a team that gets hot could punch their ticket. Bucs left a lot of points on the table last night, and still rolled the defending NFC champs too, so there’s a couple with a chip, chair and a chance.

The Eagles are like the inverse of the Pack, made the SB last year, 4 top 2 round picks to solidify a solid veteran team, great early in the season, but the wheels fell all the way off down the stretch and now they are talking a lot of vets moving on and possibly firing the coach.

I don’t expect the pack to win against the 49ers, but I hope they make a decent showing. if nothing else it’s good experience to lean playoff mentality.

In 2010 when Pack went to (and won) the SB, we were on the road the entire time. Our recent failures in the NFC Championship game(s) or Divisional round we would lose AFTER having #1 seed, 1st round bye, etc.
Seems like the hot team at the time advances more than anything and as of now, I challenge to find a hotter team then the Pack. 49ers are a TOUGH task, here is hoping we can do it.

GB peaking at the right time ? Eagles go 10 and 1 and follow a rapid decline . Good luck to Green Bay in 49,s land . Joe Berry can take some credit for what the defense did to the Cowboys . Question is will the Packers defense be able repeat that against the 9ers ? Thats why they play the game . Anyone of the NFL teams can win on a given day . Now if only the refs make the right calls LOL

The Hot Team, is usually the #1 or #2 seed, which makes sense since they have the most wins.

“Since 1976, a #1 seed in either the NFC or AFC has won the Super Bowl a total of 26 times (out of a total of 49 Super Bowls).

The NFC has won 16 of these Super Bowls, while the AFC has won the remaining 10.

The #2 seed has also done well in the Super Bowl, with the AFC’s #2 seed winning six Super Bowls since 1975, and the NFC’s #2 seed winning four Super Bowls.

Funnily enough, the #4 seed has managed to win the Super Bowl seven times since 1975, with AFC teams accounting for four of these wins.

#3, #5 and #6 seeds have all won the Super Bowl twice (six Super Bowls total).

Here is a percentage breakdown by seed:

    #1 Seed – 53%
    #2 Seed – 20.4%
    #3 Seed – 4%
    #4 Seed – 14.3%
    #5 Seed – 4%
    #6 Seed – 4%
    #7 Seed – 0%”

7 seed is new this year, so tbd on that portion.

Eagles are turds, they skid marked their way into the playoffs after starting 10-1. I knew they’d get bounced, they suck.

    Actually that started in 2020.
    #7 seeds were 0-6, now are 1-7.

I do chuckle a bit at the Packers official team social media congratulating themselves on being the only 7 seed ever to advance. There’s only been 8 tries.

How does a Packers post go to page 2 when there is a playoff game tomorrow? BTW – Congrats on embarrassing the Cowboys!

Anyway, the sports book post had me looking at the odds. 9.5 point underdogs? No respect. If I was in a Vegas Sportsbook right now I’d put $100 on the Packers to cover that point spread.

Vikes are out, I’ll still cheer for the NFC North. Go Pack and Go Lions!

Wtf is SF doing with all these falls and slips. Seriously, change cleats. It’s not difficult. The field surface is wet. Get some traction already.
