I have not tried this method, but there isn’t any reason I can think of that it won’t work.

As long as you get seed to soil contact you should be good. Maybe seed right before a rain so the rain helps push the seed in a bit.

Brassicas have worked for me just broadcasted by hand spreader into standing beans. So spraying it and getting it cultipacked will definitely work out well. The seeds are so small the just find a hole and grow. If you can drag something over the top quick and then cultipack.. thats even better.

Im a huge believer in cultipackers or using an atv lawn roller.. They pop up in days rather than weeks. Baby smooth fields for driving. Get the most germ out of the seeds.

I have a 12′ long section of cyclone fence that I use as a drag. 2″ bar wired to the top that has cables to run to the hitch. I just wire a couple small logs on it as weights and its perfect for dragging after I broadcast seed. Been doing that way for years and have great results

I have a section of old metal tubular gate I use as a drag. that will aid in dislodging seed from the dead growth prior to cultipaking. thanks to all !

If you do it right you just need one application of glyphosate

I should have clarified. I hit any spots I missed on trip one. i’m a minimalist w/ gly. the least amount that gets the job done !
