Anyone out there been using the Lindy Glow Stick baits? Just curious on if they seem to work or not?

Thinking of taking them out to ND Devils Lake early January.

    Thanks in advance.

They are like any other bait. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. I’ve caught walleyes on them up on Red with and without a minnow head on them.
I have enough confidence in them that I give them a go every time out.

I’m sure they work just fine. I have to wonder though how buying glow sticks to keep a bait glowing is better than just hitting a glow jig with a light to charge it up now and then.

I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t work, but they also don’t seem necessary to me. Take that with a grain of salt as I’ve never used them.

Test-fit your glow sticks before you hit the ice. They had a recall on the 2019 models because the glow sticks are too long and don’t fit. The ones I bought a couple weeks ago from Gander must’ve been new old stock because they fit just fine.

I’ve had glow sticks still glowing in my tackle box a week later after using them. Another tip is to cup them in your hands and blow warm air on them and you will get a couple more hours out of them.

The UV jigs and spoons that you charge by putting in front of a light I think lose a lot of their illumination within minutes in the cold water. I’ve charged them dropped them in the water and pulled them up 10 minutes later to change bait or something and all the goody was already out of them.

The gold Northland glo shot spoon with a red glow stick is one of my favorites right now. Especially on LOW.

That could be true of every single bait you purchase. If you go by that the only thing you should fish with is a plain hook and minnow. Which isn’t bad at times. Fact is most marketed baits will catch fish in the right places in the right conditions. I have very few baits that haven’t caught fish at one time or another.
