My sibling-in-laws went on a vacation to Scotland recently and surpised me with a Scotland coloring book and this 3 pack of Glengoyne!

I recently sipped a 21 year old Glengoyne and it was amazing! So warm and smooth and two shots was about all I could have for a while. My brother-in-law is of Scottish heritage and always has a wonderful selection of fancy scotches/whiskeys/bourbons and it’s fun to peruse his liquor cabinet.

You bet! He’s got fantastic taste and isn’t afraid to spend a little bit on what he likes. Which is why it’s really fun having a drink at their house! Among good company too, of course.

I feel very lucky! I wasn’t expecting the gift at all. Plus I already had sipped some of the 21 year old stuff and the noises I made after that first sip made some family members blush. whistling rotflol

An interesting malt from a region (Southwest Highlands) that doesn’t get as much attention as the more well-known areas.

This is a good example of the old Scots argument about where do the Highlands begin or end? Glengoyne is considered a Highland malt despite the fact that it is just barely outside of the north suburbs/bedroom communities of Glasgow. It certainly is an easy distillery to visit, Sharon, it may well be the closest “old” distillery to either of the 2 largest Scottish cities.

A 21 YO is quite the treat! Well done.

As an aside, it will come as no surprise Glengoyne–tasteful whisky it is–is a component of The Famous Grouse. And is owned by TFG’s parent company.
