We had high winds like always and cold temps to go with that. We could not fish the prairie lakes well so we went to the natural lakes and had a ball. We had 50-75 pike days every day. My brother and his 11 year old where up from Oklahoma. He caught his biggest eye and pike every. I would say if you bring kids up fish the natural lakes. Often we had them to our self’s or only a couple of boats. We found that trolling cranks was easier than casting for our boat. When we did cast we caught just as many. Any color work as the fish we cleaned had eaten, perch, blue gills, crawdads, bullheads.
