Looking for a simple but tasty fish taco recipe, anyone feel like sharing? I caught 5x my limit of crappies this weekend and want to make sure I eat them so I can go catch 90 more.

It’s not an online article but I fry fish however I like best, then make mango salso with jalapeno, red onion, a can of Mexicorn and black beans, and a lot of cilantro. I also take red cabbage and slice it very thin, mix it with orange juice and celery seed to add to the taco, and for a sauce take some plain greek yogurt and add a decent amount of chili powder.

I think the most important thing in a fish taco is not the fish but what is added so that is doesnt cover up the fish flavor so much. That’s why we avoid cooked and canned salsas and go for fresh pico de gallo instead.

I prefer an unbreaded fish preparation for my tacos but we love this tangy sauce! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/53729/fish-tacos/

These guys are on the right track. A pico type salsa, a creamy sauce, and something to add crunch/texture are the typical toppings for a San Diego fish taco. Pickled red onions and/or pickled jalapenos are nice, too.

I always salt and pepper my fillets and bake them in the oven. The put them with some chipotle ranch, cole slaw mix, lime juice, a little cheese, and just a touch of siracha and some cilantro.

I have kind of taken this from a Mexican restaurant that I love the fish tacos they have.

Good topic to bring back up. Had walleye taco a couple weeks back and it was great. Last weekend I could only manage 3 small fish to eat so instead of a pile of filets to eat we made due with sandwiches and they were also excellent. Both methods are a good way to go if you dont have much fish.
