I just hope that you clowns with 4 people in a boat do not ruin it for the guys like me who go solo or with my dog. I would like to see a law with no more than 2 in a boat and have it be policed! would be nice to have some DNR hand out some fines for all the morons who cannot follow no wake zones too.

So I can’t take my wife and three kids fishing now? ???

What’s with using words like moron and clowns… do you expect anyone to take you seriously? Maybe see a therapist for your anger issues? I wish you luck man.

I understand the point he’s trying to make and I understand yours too. It may come to this: fishing alone will be permitted but since discerning which boats are family only and which ones are a group of friends, they ban anything with more than one person. It only takes a few people to abuse it and then it’s ruined for everyone.

With social distancing orders in place, it is only a matter of time before fishing is banned in boats as seen in Michigan.
I consider 5 people in a flat bottom clowns whether they are family or not with todays problems. Totally oblivious to the distancing orders in place. I am sure you are not seeing this in your neck of the woods Joe. Get out to the metro or pool 4 or de pire and see for yourself. Just last week I saw 16 people having a birthday party on 2 pontoons tied up in the middle of a local lake! You can’t make this up!
So if you want to take your wife and kids in a boat for now, I would say go for it but it’s people not following these guidelines that will shut it all down for the rest of us.
Sorry for the rant but when I see a boat flying past at 35mph through a quarter mile no wake zone in high water, I consider the driver a moron, which is a MN nice way of putting it.

Go get your boat. This is a perfect time to do some work on it or make some additions to it.

Nobody is going to pull you over. I’ve been driving all over the place for work and outdoor recreation and haven’t been hassled once. If the officers were smart, they’d want as little contact with people as possible right now.

two weeks ago i drove 75 miles to get my boat out of storage. Last weekend I went and got the jet skis out of storage. We rode the jet skis Saturday on the lake. In MN outdoor recreation is fine. I will be jet skiing this weekend again when it gets in the 60s. After I go turkey hunting starting Wednesday! Enjoy the outdoors!!
