So after 15 years of no ice fishing, I’m heading back on the ice this year. After going through all my gear, time for new! So I ordered a few rods from thorn brothers perch sweetheart 30” and 2 28” medium-light quiver sticks. My question is what is the tripwire rod? I added the medium-light tripwire the quiversticks. What blank is the quiver stick on. I’m fishing 1/16oz spoons and 3mm-5mm on them. And the perch sweetheart bigger spoons for walleyes

Also auger talk looking at the strikemaster 40volt thoughts on that?

    Tripwire is a spring-bobber rod.

I know that. But what blank is it on. Compared to the quiver stick blank

The quiver stick comes with tripwires on them

Electric seems to be the way to go for augers on a normal year…last year had trouble on LOTW with my ion because it wasn’t powerful enough to get through 40-50 inches of ice. But I would definitely recommend an ion or strike master electric auger. They are the best when in comes to ice that is less than 30 inches thick
