Generator

I am heading up to mille lacs on Monday for a couple days out of red door, was wondering if there is anywhere on the east side on the way up where we can rent a generator, last year we rented one from the hardware store in isle but we wont be going thru there this year unless we need to. also wondering where the best place would be to find a good selection of bait, going to try to find shiners before we get up there, but if not Id like to get some suckers and fatheads and possibly rainbows, not sure whats working best right now, heard a lot of mixed reports. thanks

Trailside Bait & Tackle in Isle had suckers, fatheads, rainbows, and shiners last time I was there but that was 3 weeks ago. If you know you can get a generator in Isle maybe having a bait shop there too makes the stop worth it. I’d call ahead to see what their current selection is to be sure. Good luck!

I could be wrong but think the hardware store might be the only place on the east side. If you’re going up 47 the it’s only a few blocks west. Portside has bait but hard to say what they’ll have after the weekend.

I meant west side not east side, haha my bad, we will be coming up 169.

Travel up the east side off of 169 grab the generator then head north to Malmo and go west on 18 to Red Door.Cant imagine that being too many more miles difference in travel

Yeah it’s not much difference but just wondering if garrison had options since it’s been years since I’ve been up the west side.

Last year was my first time on the ice up there and we didn’t have much luck out of appeldoorns so tryin the north end this year hopefully get on some fish.
