Almost exclusively use Holiday because I have a Luther Card that gets me 10 cents off/gallon and a $6 Works Wash. Plus I buy groceries at Cub Foods and I earn rewards for gas at Holiday for it, so I can double up. Last week had 80 cents off/gallon that I used when I filled up and saved me 16 bucks.

i do that too. you can use getupside for holiday on top of your luther card, the getupsde app just reduces your savings by 3 cents. I also get an additional 3% off on my AMEX card. ive had some fill ups using this method below $2 a gallon in recent months

EC’s east of Princeton used to be the highlight of my day back when I was travelling that way.

KT for this guy – although I’m getting mad because I like to carry and pay for things in cash, even gas. Due to drive-offs, most major companies, including all the Kwik Trips in my area are switching to pump-pay only or pre-pay. But KT has the best food and great frozen pizza deals during the football season if the Vikes (or Pack) win.

Kwik Star and Kwik Trip are like Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. Not sure why the different name in Iowa but all the stuff is the same.

Kwik trip may not be mom and pop, but it appears to me from the outside looking in that they treat employees well. As others mentioned, they’re always clean, I think they have the best coffee and food. I only wish they had Gatorade because kwik aid is no bueno.

I won’t go anywhere else but Kwik Trip if I can avoid it.

There are two stations in the metropolis of galesville so most of my fill ups are at one of those two, the first one if it’s not busy or the second if it is. One is a holiday, couldn’t tell you whose gas the other one is.

The only time I’ve noticed poor performance that I can only figure was the gasoline was the one time I filled up at a fleet farm station.

Its because there is another chain called QuickTrip there. My favorite just for the name is Pump and Munch.

There is one of those near North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale. I would highly advise NOT going there lol

Usually or mostly holiday, shell, cenex or bp for me.

Kwik trip just built anew station here in cold spring and never been in the building. My son works at the shell station liquor store on weekends and they did some remodeling in anticipation of not needed as much help but personally I have seen little to nothing as business taken away from the 3 stations that where already there before Kwik trip

I’ve always bought my gasoline wherever I can buy it for the lowest cost and I’ve yet to have a problem with bad gasoline since I first got my license in 1973.

I experienced many issues with bad gas back when I always hunted out the cheapest. Freedom, Save, and Gasmart come to mind. I’d have clogged injectors, filters, and worse mileage pretty quickly. This was early 2000’s.

I avoid any station that requires PREPAY. When I leave I want a FULL tank of gas, my spare cans filled, carwash, all my munchies and whatever else I need from inside the store, and I don’t want to play the game of guessing how much fuel my tank is going to take BEFORE I pump. Any other thought of price or fuel economy is a distant consideration.

You do know you can swipe your card at the pump and in the store too…..right? The extra 7 seconds really a deal breaker😱

I’m surprised that BP in not on the Top Tier list, given their size and ownership.

Costco is our go-to – close and usually $.20 less than gas stations.

I am surprised that Holiday is on the list…. over the years I’ve heard a whole bunch of people complain about gas issues from Holiday.

I have to ask, what is the big deal with paying at the pump?I understand pre-pay is a PIA but thank dead beats for that.
I know many people have been b!tching about it around my area since they started doing it the first of the year.I don’t understand what the big deal is.I thought the world revolved around debit and credit cards.
I used to pay cash when i needed to go in and get something else but no big deal to use the card.I don’t get what the fuss is all about.

Agree. If I need something inside I swipe my card twice. Turns out you can swipe it more than once!

i avoid speedway always. My go to station is the one closest to me, which is marathon and the one where i get my groceries, which is Meijer. 99% of my gas comes from either a marathon or meijer gas station. both of which are bountiful in michigan. both on the top tier list. speedway is not

it’s the boomers who are used to paying in cash for everything. probably carry a wallet the size of a small book too. debit cards have pins, gas cards have pins, big CC companies back all transactions. they probably hiding money from their wives?
it took a company buying our company out 5 years ago to get direct deposit because one old dude didn’t want it so the other 99% of employees had to wait for a check in the mail. these are the guys that still bury money in their yards!

I’m far from a boomer by definition. I still do far more transactions in cash than any other way. I’ve bought vehicles, guns, 2 boats, and land using cash plus most of my day to day things. I’m pretty frugal and spending cash on things seems to make me think twice about whether or not I need it. If it’s more than the couple hundred bucks I carry on me, I think twice about it. I do side work for cash regularly if it’s not bartering services making cash a logical choice to do business with.

Swiping a card at a gas station isn’t a big deal, but I still use cash more often than not.

…Now get off my lawn smash
