What is “THE $hit” right now on the ice? I am seeing Garmin kits and its a little confusing with prices ranging wildly.
Scheels has several setups but I am confused. Is the Echomap UHD2 93sv Livescope the one to have on the ice?
That alone is $2k. Its $2250 with an ice kit.

Maybe this one? Garmin Panoptix PS22-IF Ice Fishing Bundle with Navionics+ maps for U.S. Inland Ice Fishing Kit

It depends on how you fish. Sitting in a house the livescope with LVS34 gives the best views. You can identify the type of fish swimming under you. It will weigh significantly more than the ps-22. The PS-22 avoids the black box and the tripod to mount the transducer. The PS-22 would be way more portable if that’s your style of fishing. It may weigh 1/3 less too. The PS-22 will give images similar to the old panoptix units. The view of the LVS-34 will be much better looking forward, better for finding weed lines.

    93sv is the 9″ head unit – Livescope options are LVS32, LVS34, or LVS62

    PS22 is Panoptix – isn’t considered Livescope.

If I was doing it all over today, I would get the LVS34 and the new Ultra 2 12″. I couldn’t go back to the 9″ screen.

Garmin is still the best over Active Target and Live Target I believe.

Get the biggest display you need UNLESS you’re gonna use it a lot in a shack. In that case get the higher end model with HDMI that you can plug into a TV in your iceshack.

I’d buy a unit and then attach it to an ARC Lab shuttle and get a bag for it.

Scheel’s has a great live imaging carry bag for $50 that will handle up to a 12″ display if anyone is interested and that’s their everyday price. I ordered a Clam live sonar carry bag and then ran across the Scheel’s bag prior to receiving the Clam bag and returned the Clam bag when it came. One nice thing about the Scheels bag vs the Clam bag is the size of the side pockets. I have a Clam live imaging pole and the end of the pole with my LVS34 transducer detaches and fits easily into a side pocket on the Scheels bag. It wouldn’t on the Clam bag.
    I didn’t mind saving 30 bucks either.

93sv means 9″ screen, Side Imagining,
DI and 2d compatible is the “S”. US maps is the “V”

Lvs32 is the first livescope but still great compared to mega live, and fits down a 6″ hole. Still very popular.
Lvs34 is the newest and crisp image quality but uses more power, heavier, and you need a 8″ hole.

Often cheaper to put together your own build. The garmin pole isn’t great, some don’t like the garmin shuttle or bag. Some want a different brand lithium etc etc. Lots of thread here and iceshanty on builds and pricing breakdowns.
