Does anyone have pictures of wingdams with their Garmin Livescope….just wondering how well it works on the river. Does the water clarity of the river cause any issues with it etc. Has it been worth the purchase for walleye fishing on the river?

Interested in buying one but man are they spendy, too expensive to just try and buy without asking some questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a lot of debris with the moving current and that blurs the picture. I haven’t tried it on the wingdams, but did use it in the timbers fishing for panfish on pool 4. That was pretty cool to watch.

I use mine…it’s ok on the dams. It’s great if the water is deep enough and you can go over them. This summer it’s been tough. I have my transducer mounted on the back. With shallow dams you don’t get much of a picture but you can still really see certain structure.

This isn’t a dam but it’s a deeper edge on a rock shoreline on P2. These are some sort of junk fish all stacked up. This is the type of view you can get if you can drive over.

I’d recommend it but you’ll likely use side imaging more. Livescope is really intended for deeper water and panfish imho but it has good uses on the river.
