Has anyone else noticed that livescope fish alarms no longer work with the latest Garmin software update? They worked fine previously, which was a great aide to the old neck and back and tracking fish that were on the move. However, they seem to have broke this feature sometime in Feb when I updated the display software. I don’t know if it’s related, but I also got a new livescope ducer at this time since the cable split from the extreme cold I was fishing in and rotating between down and forward (props to Garmin for no-hassle replacement).
Now I’ve got the livescope on the boat and it’s a giant pain staring at the screen while trolling. Strangely, the alarms still seem to work fine when in demo mode. I’m using a Echomap plus 93sv. I haven’t hooked up the regular ducer yet to check the alarms for it. I’ve confirmed that shallow water alarms work with LS.
Anyway, I’m trying to confirm that other people have noticed this, or if it’s something specific to my setup. I’m in contact with Garmin, but they want video of the problem, so I just wanted to get some feedback from others to confirm/deny that it’s a software problem before talking more with them.
Thanks for the help!
