Can someone put this into “Data sharing for dummies”? The instructions are so vague I’m assuming it’s very easily done, however I have tried 3 different ways to wire the data sharing cables with no luck.

I have two Garmin 73 sv. One bow and one console, I want to share way points between the two.

The data sharing cable has green, white, and black wires. I have found the matching wires for each unit, but am clearly not understanding exactly how to match them up.

looks like to me that you hook a white wire from one unit to a green wire on the other and vice versa.
black from both are hooked together and run to ground

I have it wired that way I believe, still not working.
I have my two units on sharing data and on the Garmin high speed setting.

I don’t have 3 wires going into the scotchlock connectors like the diagram shows but I dont see how I could.

Maybe I should just twist the wires together the old fashioned way and see if the scotchlocks are my problem.

If you call garmin they will tell you how to wire it. I couldn’t get mine to work with my VHF radio and they had it figured out in a couple minutes. Their customer service is very good.
