    (Not talking Livescope or PanOptix)
Who has converted Garmin unit (I have 93 sv) to ice fishing?
    What’s needed?
    How to set up unit?
How do you like it? …compared to flasher (I currently use Vexilar FL20)

It’s very easy. Just need something to mount it to, a 12v wire and source and a transducer.

Garmin sells the ice kit, but IMO it’s overpriced. Instead buy things separately. You can get them all at Garmin webite. They have competitive pricing and fast shipping.

    -12v Lead
-Ice Ducer (GT8 or GT10) I have the GT8 and it works great, especially if you don’t fish deeper then 50ft.
    -12v Battery
-Some sort of shuttle or Genz box or small cooler to mount it to.

You may also need a pin adapter between the ice ducer and head unit. Varies depending on unit and ducer.

I have the 73SV and bought the Garmin ice kit. I don’t remember it being more than the parts I would have to buy to do it myself, and it had a battery and charger. You do need to move the bracket that holds the screen from the boat to the ice kit, but other than that, it is an easy changeover. It fits on the dash of my snowmobile so I can use it for navigation as well.
