    Does this clip look broken?

    Might be normal, not sure.

Didn’t find any loose pcs inside.

    Thanks

Think it is made that way. But how is it used ? See no reference on the hooks usage .

Yes it is , I went and looked at mine sure enough , have to roll it pretty tight . Keeps it from flapping in the wind .

Mine has a keeper tab/retainer that closes off the throat of the hook.

That would be the norm so it looked broken to me. I didn’t find a loose tab so maybe they were breaking and now they just remove it.

I called Garmin and they said it was a redesign so basically they’re breaking off the retainer so you don’t get to. )

I’ve thought about intentionally breaking off that keeper before. The tension on the strap pretty much holds the hook in place, and it can be a pain to release it when I want to close it up again, pretty much impossible without taking off your gloves. Maybe they got some of the same feedback from others.

lots of folks simply cut them off, they have a tendency to get tangled in the transducer cord alot…
