Garmin 73sv locks up

    I just started running into this problem and curious if anyone else has and if there is a solution. The screen locks up and I mean a hard lock where the only way to restart it is disconnect power. This only happens in side imaging mode. When I run it in traditional or down view it doesn’t happen. This just started happening last weekend and happened a couple times. Any ideas?

    Did this start after a software update?

    No, I haven’t done any hardware update on them. I have 2 of them side by side and the other unit doesn’t seem to be doing it, but I don’t run that one on side view much at all.

    I recommend downloading the latest software version.
    I thought I read somewhere that they fixed this issue in an update a long time ago.
    If that does not work you can either call Garmin support or restore factory defaults which will likely be what they recommend as it does not seem to be a cable issue if you other unit has no problems.

    Thinking seriously about buying a 73sv. I can get 20% off from Academy Sports.
    How do you like it minus current issue?
    Love the price point to put on my fishing/duck hunting John boat!
