Garden Hose Advice Needed

Garden hoses like everything else have gotten more complicated.I Like the idea of a hose that is lightweight and will not kink. Saw a review that said that after 3 months a few of the products he looked at developed leaks. Our use is not exactly heavy-duty, but we use sprinklers and do a good amount of gardening. Would like to get away from thick rubber, but do not want junk that will fall apart. Yes, I have done Google searches, but I trust you guys more than Google! Seems like a trivial thing, but really we use our hose a lot.
    Thanks

The is an oxymoron. Light and flexible means thin and easily punctured.

IMO the only hose worth anything is the red rubber farm and ranch hose. Tough as nails, I’ve got some that are 20 years old. Stays soft in cool weather and easy to coil without twisting.

Oops, my dang shotgun went off! Look the hose still works! Do not need that tough, Flexible, kink resistant, looking for that balance. Thanks Grouse, we love your IDO name, BTW.

Some of the new flexible ones are for sure too cheap, when the connector is plastic, I say no-
Some of the flexible ones have connectors that are alluminum or brass.

Let me ask this, have you ever drug a hose across wet grass, freshly mowed, or gravel. Try cleaning those accordion hoses after use. Maybe that doesn’t apply to you. Just my thoughts.

    Best hose ever made IMO.

they are light, flexible and have a mesh coating similar to kevlar. Also quality aluminum connectors that are a breeze to turn by hand. Ours is going on 3 years now. Only complaint is that our well water has stained the gray jacket from iron.

I have 5 of them. They are all at least 3 years old. Love them.

you will love them Tim! Just don’t run em over and over with a tracked bobcat on a gravel driveway and they should last a while. they are pretty new to the market so who knows how long they last if cared for.

now if they only made a nozzle that I don’t need to replace every F*#!@%g year, life will be good!

My 100′ X-hose finally exploded after a good 5 year run. Need a new replacement.

How does the Zero G compare? As good? Better? Worse?

I have one from costco that is copper colored – it was rigid and great for a year or two but now it folds and kinks like crazy. I hate it.
