The station was getting harder and harder to listen to. Not Pat & Joe but the preceding shows and those after. Pat is about ready to retire anyway. So now is as good a time as any to end it I suppose.

Sad to see Joe and Pat ending their run. I really enjoyed listening for all those years.

Sad for sure… cry But the hilarious tandem from pre ESPN 1500 was back when they were the old KSTP radio (with the rookie). They had the Twins back then and I’d leave the radio on the same signal all the time. They even had Bear Facts and Fish Tales Sunday nights after the Twins Sunday matinee.

I used to sometimes flip over during commercials on KFAN. Last couple years I just listen to the commercials. On the positive side I can sing the KARS 4 KIDS sing really well and I know without a doubt which lawyer to call if I ever get a DUI. Or a divorce.

I never liked Garage Logic but I’m sure that’s no surprise. When they switched to ESPN Radio branding I figured they might actually focus on sports. How silly of me.

35 years is a good run. Good luck with that podcast Joe— though I’m not sure your core listeners get WiFi on their transistor radios?

Sad to see Joe and Pat go. I liked listening to both of them. Garage Logic was one of my favorites.
The best was back in the day when they were on together Saturday mornings. Still remember the start of the show, “I heard it through the grapevine”.

Is KSTP still on the air?
I thought they closed it down when they went all sports?

Learning more on Ido by accident then other places by design.

I read from another source that the demographics for their show was male and 50+ years old and they want the “juicer” 20-40 year old listeners. So in other words, when Joe and Pat go I will probably never listen again.

Kinda like when ‘CCO went after the 70+ year olds with the constant Cremation Society of Minnesota commercials ;-) I don’t listen to them anymore either.

As an anti-KFAN guy, I liked listening to them. Am assuming whoever replaces them will be an experiment and not last long..
