I’m in the process in getting my garage floor done and will like to have some opinions with someone that knows the process of having them done professionally.

I understand there’s several ways to have the garage floor done. I’m in Florida and moisture will be an issue I need to address just for my peace of mind. I really don’t care wether or not it was tested for moisture. I believe because even if is not there today. In the summer at 98 degree weather with humidity it can present itself.

This is what they will do.

    Day 1

    1. Grind
    2. Repair cracks
    3. Clean up
    4 . Apply MVB

    Day 2

    1. Base and Flake
    2. Go to lunch
    3. Scrape and clean up
    4. Polyaspartic Top Coat

    Job is Complete

    Your thoughts???

I had my garage floor professionally sealed with polyuria (similar to epoxy, but binds better, and is more durable) in 2022. He was able to complete the entire process in one whole day.

    What you posted seems reasonable.

Thank you for the reply! I did consider the method you had done. I’m so Leary with the moisture I’m ok with the 2 day for the moisture vapor barrier to adhere. Especially when it’s a new build.

I just seen the flaking done right after the moisture vapor barrier applied and the next day after the scraping the polyspartic top coat applied just trying to see if there’s any major difference once settled etc.

    Thanks again for replying!
