Garage door opener recommendation

Hello. I’m hoping someone can recommend a garage door opener that still uses simple SPST push buttons for opening/closing doors while inside the garage. Trying to retro fit an older installation and do NOT want proprietary buttons like Chamberlin Security 2.0 that wont work with a simple push button. Thank you in advance.

I have 2 year old Liftmaster openers. Single button on the wall in the garage. The car controller has 3 buttons to control 3 different openers. I’m happy so far.

I installed a Chamberlain last summer. Wired into the existing wires. This was purchased at Home Depot. Here is the model number.

Thanks. What kind of button is it? One of Chamberlin’s proprietary buttons with a printed circuit board inside or a simple on/off button?

Came with a simple “Door Bell” style that wired in using the existing 2 wires. Also came with one remote.

Jon Jordan – Thanks. If you look at the back of the button you’ll see the printed circuit board. This isn’t just a straight on/off pushbutton. I’m sure that works good for you but not what I’m looking for. Take care.

djshannon – havent heard of Performax but that appears to be along the line of what I’m looking for. Thanks much.

Call a garage door company. They will lead you to the right opener for your situation.
