Maybe buy the GDO manufacturer’s version, instead of a universal?

I had the same problem with my 10 year old unit, I just replaced the key pad and fixed it. I got the new style with big buttons.

I should have added that this is less than a year old.

I’d try a battery first. Mine tends to act weird when the battery is failing.

Yeah, that’s an easy attempt at a fix.

Maybe the contacts in the keypad are corroded. I know my old keypad was a nightmare to use.

I almost wish my new one didn’t have a keypad because I can use my phone to open it.

I used to have to put mine in at least twice before I figured out…. wake it up by hitting ENTER first… then put the code in, ENTER and walla !

I’ve done it both ways, enter first and code first.

I have an extra key pad you are welcome to have of you want it.

Change your code numbers, repeated numbers somehow get to worn to work well.
