Gander Outdoors Deal

Ordered 300 yards of 30lb Power Pro for $8.64 out the door, but backordered. Not bad. I do see a lot of backordered stuff.

If this order is cancelled, no sweat.

They aren’t doing this as a money maker of course, but if they are doing it right their building their email base with a little branding along the way.

Items at $24.99 is a perfect example.
Moving some high profit inventory and hoping you’ll forget to uncheck the Send Specials ect to your email.

They have to pay to create mailing lists, much better to try to get folks to buy more and make less than paying out for the list or taking a year or so of gathering email addresses.

I received a shipping notice on my order for the headlamp and I’m not
a GOODSAM member. Not sure if they cancelled my second order for crankbaits or if it’s just still being processed.

I just checked my email. My order shipped! I assume except the hooks that are back ordered. Yeah gander!

LOL not sure what to think of this deal. I have no idea what my status is. I havent been charged and it appears the hold has dropped off my card. I have received no email. I tried the live chat feature on Ganders site on two different computers but got an error on each. I tried to email them on their site and kept getting errors saying my name field was blank when it clearly was not. Nice offer, i think they need to work on the site a little bit.

The site is garbage and the products look to be about the same as what gander carried before (hardly anything in stock too, lol). I guess we will see if it works out for them. Don’t think I would ever go out of my way to the actual Lakeville store. All of my orders shipped, so I am happy about that.

My second order shipped as well, without one back ordered crank that I had called and swapped out with an instock color, but certainly not stressing about that.

Their site leaves a whole lot to be desired, however the customer service rep on the phone was excellent.

Whether I shop at the store will have nothing to do with this experience.

called a gander rep and spoke with someone. they said my order shows as processed and it will ship tomorrow even though my bank account has not been charged and there is no hold currently. I did see a hold the same day I placed the order but it dropped off. I figured the order was cancelled. Who knows…. im not going to complain if they ship it to me without a charge but this coupled with the wonky website makes for a bit of a mess. Oh well, new company sorting itself out. not going to fret about it too much

Just received half my order, but still waiting on the Rapala, which is all I really wanted.

Just looked through my email. The original order has all products. The shipped email lists the 2 I received and backordered hooks. No mention of the Rapala. They better not be trying to pull a fast one by the old pugger!

Nevermind, they sent an order update and the Rapala has shipped. I kind of feel sorry for Gander on this one.

Anyone notice they use giant packing bags to mail little packages? It’s hilarious. The bag is like 11X17 for a little package of hooks.

Order fulfilled completely today.

I got my headlamp today, came in a huge box. They shipped my crankbaits in 2 separate packages from 2 different carriers even though all items were in stock. Not complaining one bit. I got a $40 lamp and 5 cranks for $29 between the 2 orders.

Nope, pretty hard to complain. Gander accepted the code, even though technically they didn’t have to. Good on them.

I wonder what they are putting in where the old Gander store was down the the block from me.

I got half of my order yesterday and got an email this morning stating they were having trouble getting the line I ordered from the vendor. Get on it Sufix!!
