I placed 2 separate orders and got a Black Diamond Spot headlamp for $21, and 5 crankbaits for $8.50

I had that headlamp in my Amazon cart for $30 and while I did’t “need” the cranks, that’s too good to pass up.

FYI folks, after reading some of the comments on the slickdeals link above, be careful to order only items that are IN STOCK. A lot of people are reporting issues with backordered items ordered from previous Gander Outdoors deals.

You can’t see whether an item is in stock until you’ve added it to your cart and completed the first step of the checkout process. (email, name, shipping address). I didn’t catch this before placing the order, and one of my cranks ended up being backordered. I called Gander and their customer service rep was extremely helpful. She swapped it out for a different color that was in stock.

If you are trying to order multiple times I would recommend using different credit cards and email addresses.

Yep, I did different emails, different cards, shipped one order to home and one to work. Probably gaming the system a bit, but it never said one per household or anything so I don’t feel too guilty.

I can’t seem to find something in stock I want. So much is out of stock, its annoying. I was going to get the rapala floating aerator, but I don’t know if it is salt proof.

I’m not complaining considering the deal I got, but I also thought they had a lot of gaping holes in their inventory. They don’t have Original Floating Rapalas. I’m not talking out of stock, just not even listed at all.

Not sure i did not look into it further when I saw they changed it i did not look into because i assume it is

Would this imply that if after checkout they cannot determine you are a Good Sam Member (which I don’t think many of us are) then you get charged the full price for your order?

Never-mind. My order went through without being a member. I purchased 5 crankbaits for $8.

Someone mentioned that they could not find any of the original Rapala floaters? I purchased some without issue just a few minutes ago.

There was nothing about membership when I made my purchases. They could cancel orders but they can’t charge you more than you agreed to. I suppose we will find out if this was too good to be true.

I see something called Rapala Original Floater Hardbait, but I’m talking about Rapala’s first and most famous bait, the Rapala Original Floating Minnow. Why they would name a different bait with a completely different profile with such a similar name, I have no clue.

pretty good deal although I’ll agree a lot of their stuff is out of stock. I ended up purchasing a new headlamp, a new 12 lb mushroom anchor since I lost mine last year, 2 husky jerks, and 2 bags of plastic grubs with free shipping for $36. Not a bad deal at all

Funny, some items are in stock for qty 1, but out of stock if you try buying more.

I saw the message too about the membership. We shall see if they cancel my order.

If you read through the recent comments (start on page 12) on the link that the OP shared, it sounds very likely that all orders except Good Sam members are gonna be cancelled. Some folks called customer service to ask and the CS rep said they were reviewing every order but it would take a lot of time as one individual placed 538 separate orders

Did anyone look if their card was actually charged for the transactions immediately? I’m guessing they are not and the orders will get cancelled also.

I’m not a member and my CC was charged.

Mine shows as pending. One person on slickdeals did comment that he received “shipped” notifications for all 4 of his orders. Time will tell.
