I bought $238. worth of boat fenders for my camper through GO on Amazon.
Well I screwed up. I didn’t see the text “BLUE” when I ordered them. (I just look at the pictures)

Not a big deal, one click on Amazon and I had a UPS return label in my hand.
It didn’t take long before my credit arrived after they receive my miss order.

BUT the credit was for $116.00!

Ok, something got screwed up. Contacted GO though Amazon and they quickly replied saying their policy is to refund all funds EXCEPT for shipping. Now that seems fine except when the shipping is over $100.00! I could of sent it myself UPS for less then $20.! GO said it was Amazon that charged for the shipping. Well I found there isn’t anyway to connect with someone at Amazon so I politely explained the ridiculousness of charging over $100. for shipping (ground).

It seemed to help posting on their FB page where Marcus Lamoin the new CEO stated “if your not happy, I’m not happy”. From that point on they communicated with me regularly keeping me informed of their conversations with Amazon.

Tuesday I received word that Amazon is working with UPS on the incorrect shipping bill. But that wasn’t good enough for them. GO was refunding $100. the amount minus what would of been shipping and I would see it shortly. I did…like Wednesday.

My point here is that it wasn’t GO’s fault but they took ownership of the problem and made it right. I’m very impressed! Along with using them again, I’m now going to start reading what I’m ordering before hitting the one click button. )

Nice resolution. This is not the first time I’ve read that Lemonis responded to a customer on social media. When you’re accustomed to running into brick walls with customer service, it’s nice to be taken care of like that.

I wish there was a GO location closer to me, I’d go more frequently.

Sounds like a we’ll run business!

Is that how you ended up with that Superman getup???

    I agree.

I would add that their employees are still clueless, but I really don’t need advice from the employees anyway and that’s no different than most stores.

Kind of annoyed with the Good Sam Club deal. I did a 1 year membership, fine. It pretty much paid for itself. But the annoying part was they kept asking and asking and reminding me it was coming due months in advance. I finally did a 3 year membership for $75, but you get $50 in gift certificates. Fine – but I never got the certificates in the mail and it took me 3 or 4 phone calls and months of waiting. Then after all of that they wanted me to use them in two different $25 transactions. But after a little discussion, they let me use both at the same time. So, at least they made it right after some effort.

Selection and price is pretty good. Having it as an option close to home is very nice.

I do agree with lindy, the forest lake employees are senseless but that’s what you expect from sales employees. I was going to buy my sons youth 22 bolt action from them but after the guy handed me over the 4th semi auto I decided to buy else where. I politely explained I wasn’t in there looking for anything buy a bolt action savage, he kept telling me that the this semi and this semi would be funner. I told him to put the last one back on the shelf and I would go to fleet farm. And then the expert crappies guy who pounds 17 inchers all the time in the fishing department. That was funny to we had a good laugh. I havent done the good Sam’s deal but boy do they haggle me about it

This is true. You can return amazon products at any Kohl’s and they will return them for free. They provide the box and labeling. Super easy.

I havent done the good Sam’s deal but boy do they haggle me about it

The first year I did it, I ended up finding some really nice North Face Tee shirts for like $6. And then some very nice zip pants that I used for a Canada trip that were also heavily discounted for members. Paid for the membership right there.

This time around, like I said it ended up being $25 out of pocket for 3 years. No doubt it will cover itself over that time period.

If you are in there enough, I would consider it.

I randomly got a free 1 year membership in the mail from them. There are some good deals. I saw a Champion generator that the Good Sam price was almost half of the regular price. If you’d looking at a big purchase, it could pay for itself real quickly. The fancy coolers that are talked to death on here are also heavily discounted for Good Sam members too.

Several years back a friend of mine was working at Gander in Woodbury. He was a very knowledgeable fly fisherman, and most of his experience was along those lines. As we were chatting two guys walked up and had a bunch of questions about Musky leaders and lines, rods, lures, etc. Edd looks at me and says “You want to take this one?” OK, sure! I ended up “selling” them a bunch gear even though I didn’t work there.

“In August 2017, Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis told supporters of President Donald Trump not to shop at his stores.”

And I won’t, thank you very much for the advice!

Shop where you want. I hear wal-mart has a great tackle section.

Lemonis said that consumers who “are in favor of what has been said” by Trump about the Charlottesville protests should not shop at his stores.

Notice how I quoted what Lemonis actually said, while you quoted what somebody on the internet said about what Lemonis said.

    What Lemonis Actually Said

During a 16 August interview for CNBC’s Power Lunch, host Michelle Caruso-Cabrera asked Lemonis (who hosts his own show, The Profit, on the same network) about business leaders’ distancing themselves from the Trump administration in the aftermath of the President’s response to Charlottesville. (President Trump had disbanded two of his business advisory councils after several corporate leaders resigned from them in response to his comments about the ‘Unite the Right Rally’ in Charlottesville. The remark by Lemonis that was seized upon occurred in the following context:

Michelle Caruso-Cabrera: Marcus, you have a consumer-facing business, Camping World. So do you worry about — if you were on one of these [presidential] councils, would you worry, thinking ‘Wow, I’ve got to deal with consumers every day, are they going to look at the business poorly because I’m associated with the White House?’

Marcus Lemonis: There’s no doubt that there is [sic] probably not many consumers in this country today that are in favor of what has been said in the last couple of days and if they are, quite frankly don’t shop at my business. And I think the reality of it is is that there is a fear, there is a fear of association.

The thing about being wrong is it’s a lot harder to do if you keep your mouth shut. Dad taught me that and it’s wise advice.

I don’t want those people in the store who don’t want to shop in a store whose owner doesn’t want them to shop in store.

When ever returning something on Amazon, choose “inaccurate” description for free return shipping.

Hm, fall is upon us. Claws come out when it’s hot and sticky. Gonna have to change up beverages pretty quick here. Back to Saga and Crown.
