I’m guessing that the employees of said stores just found out as well.
There are new help wanted ads just placed yesterday for employment there and the help wanted signs are still up in Rochester. But it looks like they are closing now. It’s close to my house, that’s the only reason I ever shopped there ever since they turned into a high-end clothing store.
I can’t believe how far they fell, once they were a pretty good chain of stores.
Fleet Farm has always managed to keep up with everyone and more often than not, they are better. I know that the internet sales has killed stores like Gander but Fleet Farm hasn’t fallen off at all.

Maybe, however I was in the Lakeville store last week and the employees were saying they were shutting down in August for a month or two then reopening as Gander Outdoors.

All stores I have stopped in to have help wanted signs up. I’m guessing people left as things got worse and they need to at least have temps to keep the stores running. This was Rochester, Mankato, Lakeville and Eden Prairie.

The Champaign Ganders closed the doors for good this week. Wednesday was their last day open. The largest % off on ammo was 75%.They were left with a ton of short mag rifle rounds in 7mm short mag and .300 short mags, they also had bunch of .35 Whelen, 7mm-08 and a few other odd ball calibers. The point is when you see it get to 75% off grab what you want cause it probably won’t go lower. Most of the popular ammo left the store at 60% off.

They did need a lot of help the last couple of months. As the inventory kept shrinking, every night they kept moving everything towards the front center of the store.

They probably had 3 dozen long guns at the end of the last day of gun sales. Those all got boxed up and transfered that night. That must have taken a lot of help.

If you guys have any specific questions on what % off they ran out of specific items, I can give you a good ballpark on when to pull the trigger, assuming your local store follows the same pattern.
