It’s starting this Sunday! With the last season upon us, who do you think will be sitting on the throne when it’s over?
I tend to believe the fan theory that Jon and Daenerys have a baby who ends up being “the prince who was promised” and pretty much all of the characters we know will be dead. Sam lives on to tutor the young prince. Who knows though?
I am pretty sure Jon is the “Prince who was promised” and he will end up on the throne while Daenerys heads back over to Essos to rebuild Valyria.
Sansa ends up as the Hand of the King or back in Winterfell. Arya ends up as the spymaster or back in Bravos at the temple of the Many Faced-God.
Brianne either dies while killing Jamie or she ends up as the Head of the Kingsguard.
The only other one I see surviving is Bronn. I say he either ends up in Essos with Daenerys or in Dorn.
Stannis Baratheon!
I’m going with he’s not dead. Jon wins the throne but wants nothing to do with it so Stannis claims it…okay, everyone’s laughing at me but I’m going for it.
Brann is the night king and he will rule Westeros. Too bad they killed off Kal Drago…he would have been fun to watch. I heard there is some Icelandic giant named “the mountain” that makes an appearance this season. It’s going to be dam good!
Whats the rule about spoilers in threads like this?
I think that there might be a rift brewing with Jon and Danny…
There’s no way that ultra-neckbeard George R.R. Martin writes a multi-decade ‘epic’ fantasy book series and doesn’t have the end result be a massive d-stroke to himself.
Which leads us to one conclusion, Samwell Tarly saves the day and is the ultimate hero come the last episode.
I don’t think George R.R. Martin will finish the books but like everyone else can’t wait to see how this show ends.
I think GRRM’s story hasn’t been steering the HBO story since season 6. At this point, what incentive does he really have to finish? Does he just expand the HBO script or write a crazy new version?
I was a bit disappointed in last nights show. Then again they normally start off each season rather show. With only 6 total shows this final season I kind of thought they would have came out with more excitement than normal. It kind of sad. They have built us so many story lines that they will never be able to finish up well. One of the remaining shows is nothing more than the battle the whole hour and 20 minutes.I guess in 5 more weeks we will all know how it ends
Last nights episode was setting up the rest of this last season. I expect the next episode to have some more excitement. I have a feeling that the Night King is going to skip Winterfell and go right down to Kings Landing.
Saw on the news that a Billion people were streaming last nights episode. This has to be the most watch TV show ever.
There’s no skipping Winterfell.
The Battle of Winterfell is the entirety of Episode 3. It took 55 days to film.

Damn did not know that. Now I’m looking forward to Episode 3

Also the most pirated series. Not admitting but asking for a friend.
Hasn’t HBO basically accepted that the pirating helps them?
As far as the “is there enough time” question – we have one more “short” hr episode, then a bunch of movie length ones. All the characters are basically in two places (I think?), which is a huge change from the multiple story lines of the overall series. I am hoping they can do a decent job finishing over the course of 4 movie length shows. At any rate, it has done a pretty good job so far and I would be surprised if they pulled a Dexter now.
I would rather be left ravenously wanting more than grow tired of something dragging on until I stop watching. And it looks like we will have plenty of spin offs to get bored of later (like Star Wars).
I have no idea if HBO has accepted pirating. I’m still waiting to get locked up from downloading all those illegal MP3 files from Napster.
Arya Stark and Gendry (son of Robert Baratheon) hook up and their child sits on the iron throne. In the very first episode Robert told Ned “I have a son, you have a daughter, we’ll join our houses.

Now that right there is a heck of an observation

That was referring to Sansa and Joffry.
As far as who I think will be on the Iron Throne…I think it will be Sansa.
“that was referring to Sansa and Joffry”
it was but that never came to be, so who knows? seems the writers like to put specific lines into early episodes that have meaning in later seasons.
There will be so much happening in the next 4 episodes it will make our heads spin. I suspect the last episode will just tie all of the loose ends together and show how the characters (who are still alive) move on (ala Lord of the Rings ending) with Sam finishing the book “The Song of Ice and Fire” as an old Maester in the Citadel.

I read that the battle scene in Episode 3 is the longest one ever filmed. Its even longer than those in the Lord of the Rings movies.
So all of you GOT fan’s – What are your thoughts on the big episode 3 battle. I was a little surprised, but happy that it ended up being Arya that was the big hero who killed the Night King. I was also a bit surprised by how few of the main characters ended up dying. The only 3 that come to mind without watching it again are Beric, Jorah, and Theon. I keep waiting for the remaining wolf to play a roll. When they showed it several times early on I thought last night would be the night – But it never showed up again. Overall I thought it was a good show. I was a bit let down after the episode 1 and 2. Maybe it will just keep building up from here to the last episode – I hope so anyway
I enjoyed it. I agree with the thinking more main characters would die, but I bet more will when they fight the next war. The fact that Arya took out the night king was great IMO. If it would have been Jon, it would have been too predictable, and if it would have been anyone else it would have been too unbelievable. Well maybe except for Sam. The wolf did make it through the battle though. It showed up in the preview for episode 4.
Great episode though I found it hard to watch at times with the overuse of snow and fog.
I was always thinking there was some connection with the 3 eyed raven and night king…thought there would be more to it that that but great show!
I don’t think we have seen the last of the night king. Bran has something to do with his existence and I could see the season finale tease something about his return if he is gone for good. I know they said this season is the last but leaving the door open would be cool, and create buzz about one of the best series of all time.
What’s great about this show is trying to predict what will happen next and be completely wrong haha. The show has great writing and always seems to have a plot twist or something that you don’t expect to happen.
It will be interesting to see what Army they have left to battle to take on Cersi.
The only 3 that come to mind without watching it again are Beric, Jorah, and Theon.
Plus Edd from the Nights Watch, Melissandre the Red witch, and Lyanna Mormont. Great episode, and I agree they do a great job of constantly turning the story line from what we expect. There are 2 Dire wolves left (Ghost and Nymeria who had a pack with her last time she was seen), and who knows on the army size other than the Dothraki are gone. They do a great job of hiding the numbers so you are never really sure who/how many made it through the battles.
I agree will be interesting to see what Army they have left. Sending the dothraki screaming off into the dark made for cool visual effect, but realistically was about the dumbest thing they could have done from a strategy point.
