G3 Boat F150 Yamaha cable steer broke

    It’s a dual cable steer system. Any recommendations how to replace the motor top steer cable? Pull the F150 off the boat? How tight of radius can cable shield be bent to?

    I see your dilemma, but my brain tells me if they installed it with motor on, it should be able to get off with motor on.

    Good luck. I replaced mine recently and didn’t have to bend it too bad.

    As long as you have to work on it I would just convert to hydraulic steering. It will probably be easier than pulling a new cable, hyd. lines are pretty easy to run.
