Joes is about the only store I stop at in the Cities any more. Love the fishing and shooting departments as they have what I stop for as a rule. Friendly folks there too. Thorne has really gone backwards and isn’t worth the extra travel north.
I just looked on there site and it was 20% on everything. Is the 50% only in store?

Haven’t noticed them going backwards but maybe my expectations aren’t as high. Thorne has always taken care of me and answered any questions.
Joe’s is always a good place to check out.

Probably perceptions based on fish preference.

Thorne’s has a 40′ wall and over 15 more of panfish stuff, you venture behind the minnow tanks? Most I have seen,a nywhare in Sumer season. What are you looking at? I swear people will make SH#t ups just to talk.
Joes and Thorne are great shops, save your gripes for Gander and Cabelas….
Like every rod is 50% off?!
Saw a commercial last night during the game, it said “select merchandise, up to 50% off”

Just don’t wear an ido sweatshirt in there. I practically got run out of there one time because one guy was bitter about ido switching to TUCR.
Now I wear my Marine General sweatshirt in there as much as possible.
Ran out of there?! Lol
Gander, Cabela’s, Thorne, Joe’s, even that run down lil trails end that is by vados, I’m all super glad is there, and every other one out there I didn’t name. It’s fishing, it’s owners who like fishing and have a store for me to walk around in and look at fishing stuff, even if its not super catered to my particular styles. It creates competition, it makes easy access to stuff I may need and not have to drive a half hour one way or the other.
Thorne going backwards, Tom, seriously, put down the crack pipe.
Trails End is out of business. Its all good if you are a tackle addict like me. TB has some attitude sometimes but I respect that they only sell fishing stuff. Joes has great service and awesome sales. Capras has the best selection of cranks. Miss that baitstore by White Bear Lake (61/96) place had a great selection of crappie jigs.
I was at thorne bros yesterday. Just as great as always.
Every time I have been there, been treated well, questions asked and answered, especially the reel counter and the fly shop guys. Great Place. DK.

My self as well. Every time even when I ask some dumb questions. They have been and seem to always be a very knowledgable staff no matter what t shirt or hat I have on. I asked them what rod they build that compares to the jt panhandler and they straight told me that rod is the business.
Very late response, and I believe the sale is over, but yes, every rod was 50% off. There were a few St. Croix’s and G Loomis rods available when I was there on Thursday.
