So I got 150.00 in gift cards to Tuned up Customs. I’m looking at either the Fusion or the Precision. I’m looking for a perch/ light walleye rod. The Fusion says up to 3/16 and the Precision goes to 1/4. I don’t go 1/4 to often so. It would be for mostly things like Slender Spoons, Buckshots, and things like that. I’m leaning Fusion, but don’t want to get it and it be too light where 1/4 just overloads the tip. My only experience with TUCR is my Bullwhip so I’m not super familiar with them.

I have both. The fusion I got last year (2019) for a red lake trip and was very satisfied with it. Also it handled a random 34 inch pike that came swimming through with ease. The precision was my first TUCR and I used it strictly for crappie when I got it. Can go wrong with either one. I’d lean towards the fusion though if you want a little bit more backbone for the walleye IMO.

I have both but I think you could use either one.

Either will be good. I consider the precision to be a go to 1/8 & 3/16 oz spoon rod and it also handles No. 4 rippin and W2/3 jigging raps very well. The Fusion on the other hand is a 1/16 oz spoon rod and also handles the No. 4/3 rippin raps and No. 2 Jigging Rap. Lots over over lay between the 2 rods and really my only change between them is 5# line on the precision and 3# on the Fusion.

If you’re not planning on getting to 1/4 ounce too often, the Fusion is the best choice. I peronally use my fusion for all spoons and small minnow baits when I’m panfishing, and for small slender spoons when I’m walleye fishing.
