I want to add in parallel a group 24 battery to the group 31 battery (i believe) I currently have to run the trolling motor. Is this going to be to much weight up front to run the lake? I don’t want to add the charger, wire everything to find out that it now has planing issues. Thanks for any insight…anthony
Fill a sandbag with the same weight as you’re proposing to add, put it in the proposed location and try it out. Any other answer is just speculation. HOWEVER, batteries in parallel must be the same capacity and age, so you can’t just add a mismatched battery.
Ok, well that answers that. I’ll just wait until the current battery dies before I mess with things, thank you
