I’ll be headed to northern Canada for some time soon.
What is the warmest and most water-repellent fur to bring? And please give your reasons why. Looking to invest in a pair of gauntlet mittens.

Wow Gauntlet gloves are spendy. When I lake trout fished in Canada I’d use deer skin mitten with a thicker lining and put heater packs in them. When ever I hooked a fish the first things off were my mittens. When you get done catching your fish heater packs kept mittens warm inside and warmed hands quickly when put back on.
