I’ve seen a number of funny things people have done to try and protect themselves, and figured I’m not the only one. Feel free to share your experiences.

1st one this weekend at a state park, the ranger made me put my card on the counter and back up before she would run it. She picked it up with a paper towel and scanned it, then left the receipt to sign on the counter and she backed up. She then picks up my signed receipt by bare hand to put in the register…I wanted to say you almost made it!

2nd stopped for gas at Costco, guy in front of me in a Lexus with Notre Dame Alumni bumper sticker gets out with gloves on, uses a paper towel to pick up the gas pump, pumps his gas and uses paper towel to blow his nose. Then went in his car and was touching his face with his gloved hands as well. Congrats on getting hundreds of peoples germs right to the nostrils bud!

I’m happy people are being aware of minimizing their exposures, but as they say common sense ain’t so common. lol

Well… not really funny but.. My wife was supposed to take our children out to her parents farm for part of spring break for a visit. They are older and so precautions need to be taken. But the weird part gets into personal discussion of how long have you been ‘self quarantined’ and even just getting gas and groceries and if you used a public restroom or not are all conversations that are being had right now trying to evaluate the risk.

Gonna be a long few weeks couped up.

Not one single child under the age of 9 has died from this, in the world. And the death rate for anyone 10-39 is twice the rate for the normal flu, a whopping .2% Correct me if I’m wrong.

We’ll take our chances in parks and outside spaces to continue to live our lives, responsibly for others of course as well.

I went to the store to do my normal grocery shopping and it was crazy. I hear one guy yell to his wife “no put the milk back! We don’t have any more room in the fridge. Go and fill your skirt up with can goods.” A lot of the shelves were empty. I just walked out. I did make one stop at the liquor store on my way home to pick up the important things we will need if we get quarantine.

Just looking for a little light humor here guys, not looking to start the 18th debate on the subject. Rodwork that looks like a well stocked fridge, I need to make a run myself or be stuck drinking white claws and wine!

Similar to Rodwork, that was my first stop last week. The liquor store! I’m good on beer for awhile. Even then, there was a guy in the liquor store wearing gloves and you could tell everyone was trying to keep a distance from each other. Crazy times!

Mostly just referring to the weather. I was outdoors all weekend with my kids, playing, etc. But I don’t really have anything recreational going until potentially heading up to Rainy. And if that doesn’t happen, likely mid April camping and trout fishing. Can’t come soon enough….

My favorite is the news clip of the California health official lecturing about not touching your face and then immediately licks her finger to turn the page of her prepared remarks! Old habits are hard to break!

    Rodwork,

I gotta agree with the Bullet Bourbon. Not so much on the Busch. I had my kid stop at Toppling Goliath on her way home from Iowa after visiting some college friends. I had her get as much Assassin and Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout as she could get.

I am guessing, the covid19 has been here for months…. people have been sick, flu like, but comes back negative… my wife who is usually the healthy one, was sick in bed for 3 days, could hardly get up, was not the flu, didnt know what it was. The following week, I develop a horrible cough, slight fever, it kept me out of work 2 dyas, and sucking ricolas for 2 weeks, then finally got rid of it. I have had the flu before, was a mild flu, and not a cold or allergies… you hear of tons of people who went in for flu testing a couple moths ago and most negative, but they didnt know what it was….? Thinking/hoping its on the downslide here too.

Went out for pizza this past weekend, and when the waitress asked us what she could get for us I told her, “Nothing, we’re just here to use your toilet paper…” Got a real good laugh from her, and later when we got our bill, she included a single square with it.! The laughing began all over again…It was nice to see that some people still had some humor left in them…

Watched a guy at Cub yesterday put hand sanitizer on his gloved hands. Seems like overkill.

We also had a bug around new year’s that I think was the first wave of Corona. Obviously could be wrong. But it was a terrible influenza and the respiratory stuff lasted forever. Probably will never know unless everyone around me gets it this time, and I don’t. Good luck everybody.

With all the cheap beer I need the toilet paper.
That Everclear is great disinfectant. Pour a little down and start it on fire. Nothing will survive the blue flame. Not even your house.

    My buddy in Pennsylvania.

Just an observation… This world has gone bat-$hit crazy and now Pennsylvania has shut down the liquor stores. Now this is personal!
