    Learn your own Ipilot remote to your buddies unit when he’s putting the truck and trailer away. Hours of fun on the water.

    This is especially fun when fishing the busy waters of P4 in the winter…

    Your friend is in a different boat, anchor locked in front of a wing dam.
    Your in your boat, close by.
    You’ve already learned your remote to their boat.

    Undo their anchor lock and slip into their spot….Before they know it your anchored in their spot.

    Have done this with my remote when i hopped in a buddies boat. That way we could dick with the other boat with my remote and we still had a functional remote so we could fish.

    If you program your remote to buddies unit will your remote still work on your unit?

    No.
    You can use multiple remotes for the same trolling motor. But you cannot use the same remote for multiple trolling motors.

    It can only “Learn” one at a time.

    So I’m assuming you had more then one remote when you were playing this prank on your buddy? Or you were using the foot pedal?

    Yeah two remotes in our boat. One to control our boat. One to control the other person’s boat )

    I always bring my remote when fishing with someone who has ipilot. Makes life easier. But, the opportunity to pull that prank only comes around soo often. razz
