Fukushima power plant disaster

Just heard about this yesterday.. this could get really bad, not that it isn’t already, but it is now starting to effect the Pacific Coast in the US.

I watched a documentary on the disaster site and the water being used to cool the still unstable core is now radioactive. The danger is actually growing Instead of being mitigated. The thing is, there are containment technogies decades old that would have prevented the meltdown. One is isolating the fuel rods in sodium, the hotter it gets, the further the atoms within the fuel move away from each other slowing and then stalling the chain reaction.
