The sending wires on my fuel tank got separated and I can’t find yhe other wires as they are hidden under the livewell. I think it has to be one the 3 in the pic attached. Pulled the instrument panel to check the fuel guage cluster and those wires are red, black, purple and brown?? I just want to jump new wires to make it work again. Any Larson guys or general experts have any suggestions?

if you are somewhat handy and have a volt meter and a test lite, most fuel gage units run on five volts or less, probe those three wires for that voltage, once found, ground it out with a test lite and see if your gauge moves up to about a quarter tank,if it does, ground it out completely, your gauge should move to above the full mark. note: some test lites do not have a very large wattage bulb in them, you may not make the gauge move with it,but it will at least lite the test light dimly.

this way you are insuring you are finding the right wire that goes from the sending unit to the gauge.
jumper as needed from there, hope that helps!!
