Fuel Fumes in WX 1850

I have been noticing a fair amount of fuel fumes in the port side, bow storage compartment in my 2010 WX1850. I havent noticed any smell from the starboard side or anywhere else in the boat. Nor have I seen any standing fuel or anything when I pull the drain plug. I haven’t done much crawling around in it to see what it might be but would like to attack the problem before spring arrives. Has anyone come accross anything similar or have any ideas where to start? Thanks Gearguy

Pull the center cover over the tanks. Fill with fuel and diagnose which tank is leaking. It’s probably leaking out of the vent port. Pretty common problem with 1850s..for some odd reason.

Thanks Reddog, appreciate the info! When you say the center cover do you mean the center pannel/cover that makes up the floor? I dont have any experince with how the tanks are connected to the vent. Has your experince pointed towards it being a connector type issue or is it a case where there are cracks in the tanks where it is neccesarry to pull the tank for repair? Thanks again for the info.
