Fishing was pretty slow this past weekend. Marked a ton of fish in 18 to 25 ft deep. Tried minnows, leeches and crawlers. All fish were caught with crawlers in the early morning or late evening about a half hour before sunset on a 5 ft snell. We did get a couple 16 1/2″ eyes sunday morning which made a delicious meal for sunday night. Hope it picks for everyone heading up there this week

Fishing was very good for us, we found the walleyes in 12′-15’FOW near the weeds. They were gorging themselves on young perch, hiding in the weeds. When ever I put walleyes in the live well they would spit out tiny 2″ perch.
Live bait rigs with flouresant orange or pink hooks were the hot tickets- used only with half of a night crawler.

Thanks for the tip on the orange and pink hooks. They were the ticket. We caught fish this last weekend in the 12 to 18 FOW. Crawlers were still the ticket but we did catch a couple on minnows and running jointed shads.

I wanted to be up there during the full moon period last week. Did you see or catch any big muskies?

NO I DIDNT CATCH ANY. THE WALLEYES WERE BITING GOOD SO PRETTY MUCH STUCK TO FISHING THEM. WE DID CATCH SOME NICE SMALLIES ON SNELLS AND THAT WAS ALOT OF FUN
